A new residential quarter is being built on the site of a former bowling centre in Duisburg-Buchholz in the immediate vicinity of the district centre. The previously fully sealed area is being developed with three residential buildings, which are being built along Düsseldorfer Landstraße and around a green inner courtyard with a play area. With optimal infrastructure and transport links to the state capital of Düsseldorf and the city centre of Duisburg, a total of 78 privately financed new-build flats are being created in the south of Duisburg.

Variety meets sustainability
With this project, nyoo is complementing the existing neighbourhood with a broad mix of apartments from 1.5-room apartments (46 m² floor space) to 5-room maisonettes (125 m² floor space). Thanks to accessibility, large balconies and terraces and modern fixtures and fittings, the flats appeal to a broad target group. With a high energy standard as Efficiency House 55, extensively greened roofs and a DGNB certificate in platinum, the project makes a contribution to sustainability. Even before construction began in September 2021, the project developed by nyoo was successfully sold to the Danish pension fund PFA as a long-term portfolio holder and end investor. The project was completed in August 2023.
