Over the next few years, a new, traffic-reduced residential neighbourhood for young and old will be built on the site previously used by a landscape gardening business.

Traffic-reduced residential quarter on the outskirts of Kempen town centre
The urban development concept was developed in close cooperation with the Kempen municipality and will provide a sustainable reutilisation of the site with a balanced mix of barrier-free apartments, semi-detached and terraced houses. A total of around 120 residential units are being built, aimed primarily at families and older user groups. The development will be accessible via a central access road with a direct connection to Krefelder Weg. A smooth connection to the neighbouring residential areas is planned via various footpaths and cycle paths as well as high-quality open spaces. In addition to wild meadows to promote biodiversity, areas for various play and leisure activities will be created in the neighbourhood. Currently, the building rights for the future residential neighbourhood are being drafted and sales will begin in mid-2025 at the earliest.
